Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo

Royal Oak. The Detroit Zoo’s annual “merry-not-scary” Zoo Boo celebration, features a festively decorated trick-or-treat trail through the front of the Zoo. Held on the evenings of October 6-8, October 13-15 and October 20-22, 2017 5 to 8 p.m. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged!  Walk-up tickets will only be sold between 6:45 and 7:45 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets and for more information.

Greenfield Village “Hallowe’en”

Dearborn. October 13-15, 19-22 and 26-29, 2017 6:30-8pm. Thousands of carved jack-o’-lanterns, costumed characters, sword swallowing, fire breathing acts and more. $16 for non-members. Kids under 2 are free. Tickets Required.

Halloween Hoot at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve 

Rochester Hills. Oct. 20-22, 2017. Have a hauntingly good time at Dinosaur Hill’s annual Halloween Hoot. Bring your little ghosts and goblins for a spooktacular Halloween tradition.  Groups will gather in the nature center to create a spooky-fun craft, then head out on the mood-lit trails to participate in a series of short, funny, interactive skits while collecting treats along the way. Complete your evening with a doughnut and cup of cider around the campfire with live entertainment.  You can even let your little monster loose to have fun at our mini-fair with Halloween themed carnival games…all included with your ticket. American Girl “Halloween Spooktacular”

Twelve Oaks Mall, Novi. Calling all ghouls and their mummies:  you’re invited to celebrate Halloween at American Girl!  Girls who visit the store in costume will receive a sweet treat (while supplies last).  Plus, they can take part in a fun Halloween Boo Box craft and pose for a photo op. Sunday, October 29 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Halloween Parade – Pottery Barn Kids, Somerset Collection, Troy – Dress in costumes for a parade, fun activities and treats from Annie’s. Call local store for more information and to register.

Franklin Athletic Club “Spooktacular”– Southfield. 1-3pm. Pistons flight crew show, thriller dance contest, inflatables, character visits, live animal show, trick or treating, costume contest and more. FREE and open to non-member.

Friday, October 27th

Orchard Mall “Monster Mash”- West Bloomfield. DJ, Prizes, Goodie Bags & Dance Party. $5 per child. Registration is required.

Saturday, October 28th

Detroit Symphony Orchestra “Rock o’ween”– Detroit. 10am. Listen as Miss Paula and The Candy Bandits play popular children’s songs set to rock n’ roll beats. Costumes are encouraged! Ages 2-5. Tickets needed.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra “Halloween in Hollywood” – Detroit. 11am. What will you be for Halloween? A ghost? A Disney princess? Maybe a Jedi, Superman, or Harry Potter? Celebrate the scariest holiday of all with music from your favorite Hollywood hits, plus our annual costume contest and other “spooktacular” pre-concert activities! Tickets needed.
