My most requested recipe is this delicious Chicken Parmesan! It is very simple and uses ingredients that you should almost always have stocked in your fridge or pantry.
Here’s What You’ll Need For The Chicken:
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Cup Dry Italian Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- 4 Chicken Breasts, about 1/2 inch thick
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Separated into 2 1/2 cups (Fresh Parmesan Reggiano is my Fave)
- 1 Cup Extra Virgine Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
For the Pasta:
- Pot of Salted Water
- Angel Hair Pasta or any noodles you may prefer
- Barilla Marina Sauce or any tomato Sauce of your choice
First, you’ll have to clean and cut your chicken. When that’s done, season both sides with salt and pepper, to taste.
Now create an egg wash by simply beating one egg with 1 tbsp of water in a small bowl.
Place your flour in a dish, combine the bread crumbs & 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese in another.

Coat each piece of chicken with Flour, shaking off the excess flour. Then dip into the egg wash, letting the excess drip back into the bowl. Next, you’ll coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs mixture. Place each piece onto a platter and let sit for about 10 minutes.
At this time I like to start my pot of water for the pasta, and heat my oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once your chicken has set, begin adding it to the heated skillet in batches.
Splash a drop of water onto your hot oil, if it sizzles- the oil is ready for frying!

Keep an eye on the chicken, as it is frying. Using tongs you can lift the sides to see if you’ve got a crispy golden shell. Once it crisps, or browns you can Turn. Transfer to a lightly oiled baking dish.
Once all of your chicken has been pan-fried, you can sprinkle it with a mixture of 1/2 cup grated parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Little hands love to help with this part!

Once all of your chicken is topped, Bake at 400 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. Once the cheese is fully melted, your chicken is usually ready.
While the chicken is in the oven, your pasta water should be at a boil and ready for noodles.
Once al-dente, mix in your favorite tomato sauce. We personally enjoy Barilla’s Marina sauce with this recipe. (Ain’t nobody got time for the sauce from scratch over here)

Once your cheese is melted, and chicken is cooked it’s ready to serve over pasta. Add a slice of garlic bread to complete the meal!

Enjoy!
